In addition to this opportunity to finally record recital repertoire and new arias that I’ve recently been working on, I hope this project shows the resiliency of artists who are determined to persevere through Covid-19 and address the social unrest we have witnessed happening all around us. Music has been, and will always be, my response!

The Recital Album is the third release from tenor, J. Warren Mitchell. He joins together, yet again, with highly regarded artistic collaborator, Jan McDaniel, at the piano to show another facet of his artistic expression and love for operatic and song repertoire. This digital album features J. Warren and his passionate, powerful, tenor voice interpreting arias, Italian songs, German Lieder, and English Art Songs that have brought him acclaim and have been performed to sold out concert and recital audiences both in the US and abroad.
Jay's connection to the music and text allows for an idiosyncratic performance that oozes with heartfelt sentiments and captivates audiences. "My goal is to communicate a message to my audience and take them on a musical journey," says J. Warren. One thing is for sure; his fiery, passionate singing implores you to escape to a place where only music can take you!

This Christmas CD has been a vision I have had for quite some time but could never find the time to get one done and ready in time for the holiday season. Well...we finally did it! My first Christmas CD! Without the belief and support of so many dear friends and supporters, this would not be possible. To all of you who played a role in helping me realize this dream, I thank you and am tremendously blessed to have you in my life, especially my good friends at St. Luke's United Methodist Church!

This project features local musicians here in Oklahoma City and is a manifestation of my desire to always use the gift of my voice to bring other together in solidarity. As you listen to this project, my sincere desire is that your holidays be filled with love, joy, peace, GREAT music and lasting memories. Most of all, I hope this project will bring us all closer together in unity throughout our world this, and every, holiday season.
